  • Symonds Yat Rock - the most famous beauty spot in the Wye Valley
  • Ross on Wye - historic market town
  • Hereford - an old-world Cathedral city which houses the Chained Library, the largest of its kind in the country, and the famous Mappa Mundi 
  • Tintern Abbey - one of the most beautiful Cistercian Abbey ruins in the country dating from 1131
  • Raglan Castle
  • Goodrich Castle
  • Grosmont, Skenfrith and Whitecastle - these three form "The Trilateral", a defensive network to keep out the Welsh!

  • Abergavenny - which holds a well known and popular food festival in September
  • The Rolls of Monmouth Golf Club at the Hendre, the former home of Charles Stewart Rolls, co-founder of the famous Rolls-Royce company

  • Chepstow Racecourse - Home of the Welsh National

  • Gloucester - another Cathedral city, where some scenes were filmed for Harry Potter
  • Cheltenham - a beautiful Regency town and Gateway to the Cotswolds.  It is the birthplace of Holtz and home to the Cheltenham Gold Cup held every March
  • Malvern - spa and cultural centre and home of Elgar.  Walk in the Malvern Hiils, which is the site of the British Camp at the Herefordshire Beacon
  • The Celtic Manor Golf Course at Newport, which is hosting the prestigious Ryder Cup in 2010
